Sunday, July 8, 2000 - Memorial Lakes

Since I did not get out last weekend I thought I would try again this weekend.

Saturday. July 8, 2000 - 10:58AM - On the Ribbon Creek Trail

Well my car got fixed yesterday so I decided to start my week off with the trips I had left over from last weekend. I am at the picnic bench on the Ribbon Trail. Looks like the falls are going to be busy, lots of people on the trail. It is partly cloudy but warm, about 20oC. All the flowers are in bloom, so the trail edges are a kaleidoscope of colors.

I am off to Memorial Lake today. I have brought my Ice Ace just in case I run into snow-covered slopes.

12:09 PM - Back at Ribbon Creek.

Ran in to a group that ran into a bear. I continued on and smelt him so I turned back as well.

2 PM - Ribbon Falls

Yes here again, weather is still good. No bears. I am going to stop for lunch then head back.

5PM - Back at Car

Time to head home.
